Mike Wise has worked on virtually all levels of criminal matters. That experience ranges from misdemeanors including petty theft, Driving Under the Influence and drug possession. As a prosecutor for more than 10 years, Mr. Wise was assigned to several specialized units including Gang Violence, Domestic Violence, Serious Juvenile Offenders and Prison Crimes. In that capacity, Mr. Wise was frequently invited to instruct law enforcement officers on trial tactics, legal updates and the complexities of litigation in the gang culture.
Mr. Wise secured a conviction rate of more than 95% in more than ten years as a prosecutor, earning a reputation in Northern California as a tough litigator who was willing to take cases to trial and win.

In 2004, Mr. Wise elected to represent the community directly, rather than through the District Attorney's Office. In that capacity, Mike has represented members of the community charged with murder, DUI, worker's compensation and insurance fraud, drug possession - for use and sale, as well as Robbery and Domestic Violence.

Due to his trial experience and reputation as a tenacious litigator, Mr. Wise has been repeatedly invited to instruct at conferences pertaining to evidence, and criminal street gang litigation. He has previously been invited by the California Department of Justice to instruct law enforcement officers from around California about substantive law and procedure.

Mr. Wise's pattern of success has continued into 2007. This year alone, Mr. Wise has secured acquittals for multiple  clients who fought their cases with Mr. Wise by their side. Each of those matters resulted in full acquittals allowing both clients to return to their lives and take care of their families.

Mr. Wise has also served as an adjunct professor in the evenings at a local college. In that capacity, he instructed paralegal students in the fields of Contracts, Torts as well as Basic and Advanced Civil Litigation.
